things to remember when nothing works

• first, make sure you installed everything from the setup folder
• remember that serialio is NOT an interactive terminal program. that means YOU CAN'T TYPE COMMANDS INTO IT. even the ones carefully described on the page about serialio. even if you REALLY want to.
• if 64step isn't making any noise and/or won't start looping when you press GO,
  • make sure _40h_osc_osx.mxb is running
  • go to Options : DSP Status, set the Driver to: CoreAudio? Built-in Audio and set Audio to: On
